Pines Hunters Moon “Jack”, 12 years old, of Westfield, went home to Doggie Heaven on November 16, 2016. Jack, a handsome yellow Labrador Retriever, was born on October 1, 2004. He was a good caretaker to his loving owner, Diane Gharst, and his family of Retrievers, especially the girls. He was very gentle and always good with the girls in all matters. Jack’s favorite toy was his chew bone.
One of Diane’s favorite memories of Jack was when he went to Cleveland, OH for a dog show and the committee wanted Jack to be the ambassador for the “meet and greet”. This activity gave the general public an opportunity for them to get up close and personal with the dogs. Each dog was only supposed to be there for one hour, but Jack had such a long line that he was there for over 3 hours and enjoyed every minute of it. From babies to older people, he met them all!
Jack was preceded in death by his four of his Retriever family members, his sisters, Pines Moonlight Sonata “Nata” and Garden Gait Pines Autumn Joy “Joy” and his brothers, Champion Pines Catch Me If You Can “Kickback”, and Pines Hunters Moon “Jack”.
Survivors include his owner, Diane Gharst; two of ‘his girls’, Pines Shine on Harvest Moon “Shine” and Pines Once Upon a Blue Moon “Una”.
Best Friends Forever Pet Care Cremation Service was privileged to care for Jack.
