Onyx Shinkle

Onyx Shinkle, a loyal and loving Pitbull, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Thursday, June 12, 2025, just shy of his 16th birthday. For 13 beautiful years, he was a cherished member of the Shinkle family, bringing joy, comfort, and unconditional love to everyone around him.

Rescued early in life, Onyx repaid the kindness with a lifetime of devotion. He was more than a pet—he was a protector, a cuddler, a source of laughter, and a constant, calming presence through life’s ups and downs. His soulful eyes, gentle heart, and great big personality made him unforgettable to all who knew him.

He leaves behind his devoted humans—Chris, Amy, Haley, Brooklyn, Noah, and Journee—who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. He also leaves behind his best furry friend, Jersey, who still looks for him and misses him deeply.

Onyx's pawprints are permanently etched in the hearts of his family. Though he may be gone from their arms, he will never be gone from their lives.

Run free, sweet Onyx. You were, and always will be, a very good boy.
