Dorothée "Dory" Aurora Grosskopf

Dorothée Aurora Grosskopf, affectionately known by Dory, passed away November 5, 2021 at the age of 13 after a battle with cancer. Dory was adopted at Animal Management on March 20, 2009 at approximately a year of age. She earned her Canine Good Citizen certificate and passed her Therapy Dog International examination, eventually becoming a certified reading buddy with Bentley’s Buddies and Friends in Hancock County, Indiana. Her calm, sweet demeanor was loved by many and was perfect in creating a relaxing learning environment for children in libraries and classrooms.

Along with listening to stories read by children, Dory’s favorite activities included anything involving food, exploring outside and long naps in warm spots.

She was preceded in death by her human dad, Jonathan, and she leaves behind several fur siblings, human and fur friends and her human mom, Kate.

She will be dearly missed.
